English-Wikipedia average daily pageviews rose across the same completed weeks in all three categories: suncare from 73.3 on 2026-08-03 to 82.9, 89.0 and 95.9 on 2026-08-24; ramyeon from 50.0 to 52.6, 57.6 and 59.1; and seaweed from 65.9 to 69.6, 75.0 and 79.3. Over that span, the Naver relative search index fell for suncare from 23.7 to 15.9, while ramyeon was broadly flat at 89.2, 88.5 and 88.7 after reaching 100.0 on 2026-07-27.
Prior coverage on 2026-09-04 discussed the suncare pattern of cooling Korean search alongside holding global attention. The ramyeon finding was published today. The new element is the three-topic simultaneity, plus seaweed as the counter-example, not the ramyeon shape itself.
Seaweed is the exception. Its Korea Momentum score is 57.9 and global-attention score is 55.5. Its positive Trend Gap of 10.7 is the normalized Naver-minus-Wikimedia attention comparison, not the difference between those two scores. Two topics agree across the sources and one does not. In the completed data, seaweed’s Korean search index eased from 3.7 on 2026-08-17 to 3.6 while global pageviews rose from 75.0 to 79.3. One reading is that domestic interest is cooling after the mid-August peak as global readers catch up. The more plausible reading is noise: the Korean index moves on a very small base, and the disclosure series has missing weeks. Korea Momentum is the mean of the Korean sources’ standardized change over the latest 3 periods against each source’s own preceding 8-period baseline, mapped to a 0-100 score where 50 equals its own baseline. Global Attention applies the same method to weekly English-Wikipedia pageviews. Trend Gap is normalized Naver attention minus normalized Wikimedia attention. Naver is a relative 0-100 index, OpenDART counts issuer filings, and pageviews are a global attention proxy.
